Each category in more detail
Agents with approval
An agent does the media buyer's job and stops at decisions. In RunAds, a mission reads your site and account, plans campaigns, writes the ads and images, and waits at Review. Google dry-runs every campaign before the launch card reaches you. After launch it watches for 14 days and sends budget changes back as cards. The Bulk Launcher builds a full set of Search campaigns from one site scan, and Ad Grades scores each ad with reasons. Pricing: 500 free credits (your first $100 of Google ad spend), then 5 credits per $1 of ad spend: 4 above $10,000 a month, 3.5 above $100,000, 3 above $1,000,000. Ryze AI also sells an agent, at $89 a month for Paid Ads, covering Google, Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn.
Rule engines
Optmyzr is the main one. Its Rule Engine runs automations on a schedule set by plan (weekly or monthly on Essentials, up to hourly on demand on Enterprise), with AI Sidekick for plain-language questions. It covers six ad platforms and starts at $209 a month with a 14-day free trial.
Recommenders
Opteo lists improvements you push live, at $129, $249 or $499 a month by accounts and spend. Adzooma has a free plan with monthly reports and opportunities across Google, Microsoft and Meta. Both help someone who already runs the account.
Managed AI services
groas now sells management as a service: $1,499 a month per service, or $299 per client account for agencies with a minimum of five. That is closer to an agency retainer than to software.
Google's own automation
Performance Max reaches all Google Ads inventory from one campaign, and Smart Bidding sets bids per auction. Both cost nothing beyond ad spend. Every tool above builds on them; none replace them.

Which AI Google Ads tool should I pick?
- No PPC person and you want campaigns built: an agent with approval, such as RunAds.
- A PPC specialist on several platforms: Optmyzr.
- A PPC manager who wants a daily list on Google Ads only: Opteo.
- Under $500 a month in spend: Google's own tools or Adzooma's free plan.
- You want a person to own it: a managed service or an agency.
