Can the AI change my account without asking?
No. Every write tool returns a preview and executes only when called again after you approve. On top of that, the account controls you set in RunAds apply to changes from Claude and ChatGPT exactly as they do in the dashboard:
- Account mode: approval, autopilot or read-only. Accounts you connect start in approval mode.
- A daily spend cap and a maximum percentage change per budget edit.
- Protected campaigns that RunAds never changes.
- Tokens are scoped to your own RunAds login and can be revoked under Dashboard, Connect AI.
Limits to know: replace_ad_copy removes and recreates the ads, because Google's responsive search ads cannot be edited in place, so per-ad history resets. run_account_audit takes 1 to 3 minutes. Changes that add or raise spend need a credit balance.
